Followup.

I "became" 7O73T in FOX mode and saw everything as expected with stations calling 7O73T.  However, if I used S20MUJ, nothing showed up.  So the hash is one way and the DXP does not see those callis cluttering up with S20MUJ.  So they are really just wasting electrons as that call is not decodable by the DXP.

It's not a pirate, but a sorta a "clone" and a misleading one at that.

S20MUJ was first reported as a pirate that always appeared on the same frequency as 7O73T. However it was finally determined this is a clitch in the WSJT software that occurs when a compound, or non-standard callsign, is being decoded. 7O73T is such a call sign, it ain’t normal and that is why you will see <…> displayed in the decode window and you won’t see the callsign, in this case 7O73T, until you enter that callsign in the DX Call box. Once you do that things will appear and work fine, but if not, and you try to call 7O73T by placing the callsign in the TX msgs it will hiccup and send a bogus callsign.

So, whenever you see <…> in the decode window enter the real callsign of the station in the DX Call box and life will be much more simpler.

I say, let us gather our lanterns and pitchforks and radios and travel over there to inquire further.... and if it's a pirate, we'll just set up shop as a DXpidition team....and then, of course, GET IN THERE, AND WORK 'EM!!!

It has been reported that S20MUJ is a pirate.  Given that, why is he and 7O73T working and giving RR73 to the same station in the proper sequences.  Could it be a bad WSJTx hash and causing the S20MUJ to appear instead of 7O73T?  So is the same station all the time as they seem to appear together most of the time.
