I posted this before but want to post again in case there is interest.

The estate of Richard King, K5NA, has a mint Ameritron AL-1500 amplifier for sale that includes a spare HV capacitor board. The price is $2,000. This is located in Manor, TX, on the north side of Austin. I will be in Austin this weekend attending the W6JKV/K5AND 6-Meter BBQ and will pick it up and deliver it in Arkansas if anyone is interested.

The AL-1500 is a very solid, well-built amplifier designed around the 8877 triode in a grounded grid design. It will produce 1500 watts with as little as 35-40 watts of drive. I have been a big proponent of the 8877 for years and have had HF, 6-meter, and 2-meter amplifiers based on this design and currently have an AL-1500 in my station.
