The previous holder of my call, W5VY, was Joe "Pat" Patterson in San Antonio.  That "Pat" had built up a pair of 4-1000s for 6M.  He drove that amp with a Collins KWS-1....a Kilowatt exciter/amp in one cabinet.  He always reported he was using a KWS-1......no mention of the 2 X 4-1000 amp.   I guess he was barefoot also!

Europe never did decode for me.  Joel must be using his phased 6M yagi's.  He's 7.6 miles from me and instead of his normal +30, he's -24: same heading as Europe from here.
