Thanks EJ.

The news reported 70 MPH winds. A gentleman on my team at work lives a few miles away and he stated that at one point it looked like it was raining leaves. The street in front of his house was covered with so many leaves that you couldn’t see the street surface.

Thankfully none of the limbs hit the house. There are still 25,000 people without power. East AR, North MS and W TN have an excessive heat warning until Friday @ 8pm.

The good news is that there is only 3 more months of this. :)

Congrats Lanny!

“AC” takes on an additional meaning right now. Sunday night we had a bad storm here and our power was out until Wednesday morning. Today-tomorrow’s highs are over 100 with heat index around 110-115.

We had some large tree limbs down and one 80’ tree break at about 30-40’ point and fold over. No damage to tower or antennas. About 100,000 people in the area were without power.

Lanny, K1LEC, the reigning ADXA DX Hog, has provided updated DXCC standing information.  Lanny says he has received his Mixed DXCC sticker for 335 and his confirmation from Ducie makes it 336.  He has bumped his Desoto Challenge total to 1163 since receiving it at the 1000 mark in March.   Great progress Lanny….Oink, Oink!

Lanny also was involved in the W1AW/5 activation at W5ZN’s QTH.
