That's not correct. I did not say you pee like a puppy. I said "You can't run with the BIG DOGS if you pee like a puppy". You conducted a personal assessment and came to that conclusion on your own !!!!!! :-)))

I am only slightly embarrassed that I confused two FANTASTIC events that were nine years apart.Joel says I pee like a puppy. Yet, through the years I have represented us well, and ran pile-ups like a Big Dog, and I've got the gold coins to prove it.In the ARRL 100 year event I kept telling our guys "Your log HAS TO BE GOLDEN. No one is going to live long enough to work this again".-- QJ

I think we had picked up 40 from EJ due to a rotor failure and I had the ability to run multi-two- until the BPF failed. Murphy definitely went after 40 SSB stations! Mike NL7RQ and I had it cooking with the EU run in the AM and the JA run in the PM... 2005 IARU...K5EJ and KD5J came over and operated too.2014 was a blast too. Pile up city. K4UEE once said you're not a CW operator until you have a pile up howl at you. During 2014 IARU and the 10m contest I had CW pile ups howling at me.VOTA hasn't been quite that wild - yet.K5UZ UP 173

I believe station locations were K5GO (all bands CW), K5EJ, K5UZ, and others. We had 10M SSB from K5BAT and did some filling in late at night on 40 SSB. 10m was not very good and little DX was workable in July. We hoped for a monster Sporadic E opening but it never happened. We worked a lot on backscatter and tropo scatter. Thank goodness for QRO. It was brute force or nothing.40 meter SSB was OK but there weren't enough stations to work.We did the Centennial thing for W1AW/5 at K5BAT in 2014. I think we worked over 7000 Q's for the Centennial. I remember tremendous pileups on 17M SSB and 30M CW was a zoo. Same for 30M RTTY. Signed by ZN.A bunch of Big Guns listed on there.I knew the whole time I was walking in tall cotton and playing radio with the Big Boys.W5RZ made the appointments and arranged the time slots for the K5BAT group. All I had to do was sit at the radio and try to handle the pile ups.AND, I have a couple of the ARRL gold coins that David & Joel handed out.It is an experience I will never forget.I'm N5QJ, and I approve this message.
