On my way home from a great trip at Stan Stockton’s beautiful home on Cayman Brac for the ARRL CW DX Contest as ZF5T.  We did not break our 2022 record. WHY?  Stan explained it well. Last year, conditions were not that good into Europe so the USA stations looked south to make Q’s…THIS year, the bands were hoppin’, so antennas were aimed NE to get those EU mults, particularly on 10…makes sense…no excuses, just the facts.  The ZF1A HP guys on Grand Cayman were down, too, as was our main competition on Belize, V3T.  B U T, we still beat them, three of us against seven of them 😊 by almost a half a million points.  In our record year last year, we scored over 6 million points; this year, about 5.2 million.  So, we are fairly sure we won our division, MS LP, but no world record…just wait till next year!!!!!
