Well, I guess by now all the excitement has died down. Congrats to those

ADXA members who managed a contact through all the DQRM and

pirate operations!

I know there will be a lot of armchair quarterbacks second-guessing

this one down to the details! And I'm sure there will be disappointed

hams who thought they had a contact, but didn't. I wasn't in the hunt

but would like to throw in my 2 cents worth.

I, for one, would like to take an opposite tact. I say congratulations to

those guys who dreamed of this challenge and had the drive and

determination to make it happen! I'm sure there's no one more

disappointed that they didn't reach their goals than that team.

Mother nature just wasn't in the mood to make it happen as they had

hoped. Those of us sitting in our comfortable shacks should be

thankful that they tried their best. We all must be grateful for

their efforts and that they safely got off the island and are headed

home.

I look forward to hopefully seeing a video and/or reading an account

of their efforts.
