Greetings ADXA Folks,

We are set to begin February 2023 this week and there is good news and bad news.

The good news is it appears the Bouvet Team will arrive offshore at Bouvet Island later today. Depending on the weather, they will begin to offload the equipment and begin set up. Good news indeed and we wish them all a safe landing.

The bad news (VERY BAD) is many of us are under an ICE STORM WARNING for tonight and tomorrow. This is not good and comes at a horrible time when the #2 most needed DXCC country is about to fire up.

All I can say is GL! The TV personalities masquerading as "Meteorologists" say we should not expect an accumulation sufficient to produce loss of electricity but that is based on a WAG. If you're not familiar with "WAG" the first letter is "wild" and the last is "guess". You can figure out the "A".

I'm not worried about the loss of electricity. We have a big whole house generator that will keep us nice and comfy.....my worry, obviously, is the antennas!

So, all I'll offer in the way of advice is please stay safe during the next few days.
