If you trolled around 160 meters this weekend, even if you were hanging out on 1840 KHz, you noticed the band full of CW signals for the CQWW 160 Meter DX contest. As an avid 160 meter CW dude it is one event I look forward to every year.

Thanks to ADXA BIG GUNS KM5G, W5KI, WA5BDU, WB5BHS, and W9DCT for jumping in and also for giving me a Q. If I missed someone I worked my apologies. Its been a long two nights!

My total Q's were about 100 less than my best effort. My mults were 8 less than my all time record. I finished with 46 DXCC countries and ended with 48 states, missing AK and ND this year. I know KL7SB was on, as he usually is, but just missed him. ND seems to always be the last state to work in this event. I have no clue what the heck hams are doing up in ND the winter that's keeping them off the air at night, except maybe watching reruns of "Fargo!". I run without assistance so finding ND is usually difficult.

For those interested you can overall listing in the Single Op HP category and read my write up on 3830 at:

Now on to today's football games and final Bouvet preps this week!
