According to the TN8K website for FTx contacts:
We plan to use FT8 as the primary data mode. We will use multi-slot FT8/FT4 in normal mode. No F/H is expected, do not ask us for that please. Our main FT8/FT4 software will be MSHV. You can use your favorite software without any problem.

MSHV "looks" like F/H, but is not capable of operating true WSJTx F/H.  If you work them in F/H, all will be OK except that your TX frequency will not be moved down to below 1000.  So they are just operating normal split mode.  

Also, it has been suggested that you call them with TX2 instead of TX1.  Speeds things up a bit.
