Happy New Year to all the ADXA folks.

I don't know if that phrase is a greeting, wish, or a simple statement. Regardless, GL es DX in 2023. Its great to see everyone getting FT8WW in your log, or still in the hunt trying to nab a new one. I've been fortunate to nab Crozet on 30 meters (a new band) and CW. It was one of only three I did not have on CW, the other two being P5 and ZS8.

I assigned myself recliner duty all day yesterday, watching football until almost midnight, so DX took a back seat.

Did you complete your DX or station goals for 2022?? If not, assess where you are and re-prioritize them and identify what you need/want to do for 2023. My #1 DX goal is still to hit the 300 mark on 160 meters. If I can nab Bouvet that will be #285, but I most definitely won't hit the mark in 2023.

One thing I did accomplish over the past two weeks is to complete a 12 band WAS. I had completed 5BWAS plus 160 meters and also WAS on 50, 144, and 222 MHz but had never checked the 30, 17 and 12 meter bands. Turns out I had LoTW confirmations for WAS on 30 and 12 but was lacking two states (DE & SD) on 17 meters. So I spent some time on the band and was able to complete. That is a low priority goal completed! While this isn't "DX", pursuing activities like this provides an excellent opportunity to make sure your equipment and antennas are in top shape while waiting for that new DX to appear.

Be safe with your radio projects in 2023 and "Happy New Year!"
