Joel,
That makes sense, & I would bet that the Ukrainian stations that were active were in the western part of the country.  N5DX also worked several as he was tuning up the N2QV station for next weekend.  Also, the Russian & Belarus stations were on in force yesterday, & hopefully they will be active next weekend.

Hi Chuck,

This is an interesting topic. The IARU officers have been discussing this very thing based on the same observation over the past month. The IARU Region 1 folks have no news or evidence indicating the restriction has been lifted so we're not sure what's up. Its good to have them on the air, though.

Joel,
I worked several Ukrainian stations yesterday during the LZ DX contest.  I was surprised to hear them, as I thought they were officially off the air.  Can you shed some light on their situation?

Greetings ADXA Folks,

The ADXA board has finalized the details for this year's annual meeting.

Finding a suitable location this year coming out of COVID lock down and between Thanksgiving and Christmas was difficult, more so than previous years, however we have the meeting room at the LaQuinta Inn and Suites in Russellville booked for Saturday, December 3. The hotel is just off I-40 Exit 81. The address is on the ADXA website.

We will start assembling around 10 AM for visiting, telling a big one about what you worked in all the recent DXpedition activity, or just hanging out. We'll have one presentation at 11:00 AM. Around noon we will have a catered pizza luncheon for ADXA members and guests, courtesy of ADXA. If Pizza doesn't work for your dietary needs please let me know and we will make accommodations. Over the next 10 days I will be soliciting who will be attending so we can ensure we have enough food. Our treasury is healthy thanks to your continued membership dues support through COVID when no DXpeditions occurred for us to consider funding. As a result the ADXA board concluded we could refund some of that money via a lunch.

We will plan to end the presentations and business meeting sometime between 3:00 and 4:00 PM and turn the room into a hospitality suite with complimentary drinks and snacks and more visiting and tall tails. You can even tell one that is true if you're so inclined!!

The current program schedule is:

1. History of DXCC Deleted Countries and the Status of Current Inactive Entities - K5FUV Bill Kennamer. For those who may not know, Bill has extensive knowledge in this area, having served as ARRL's DXCC Manager at HQ for several years.

2. Noise! How to slay the Grim Reaper for Weak Signal Reception - W5ZN Joel Harrison

3. WSJT-X and Everything you Wanted to Know about FT8 & FT4 but Were Afraid to Ask - John Evans, WB5BHS & George Cotton, WB5JJJ (The FT8 Dynamic Duo!!!) Think you know everything about the digital modes of the WSJT-X software package? You may be surprised you don't!! I hear there may be a "live" demonstration in the works!

4. Shunt Feeding Your Tower or Hanging an Effective Wire Vertical From Trees - W5ZN Joel Harrison

Do you have something to present that would be of interest to ADXA?? If so, let me know. We have some time for maybe one or two more presentation and we can get you on the program.

Some of the prizes this year will be two $100 gift certificates from DX Engineering and other relevant items.

More over the coming days!
