Hi Dennis,

Regarding Uzbekistan.  Yes, back in late 80's UI was at least one of the prefixes.  now UJ.  I have UI8AA, in Tashkent City, as my lone Uzbekistan card from '89.  And for nostalgia, G3SWH, was the QSL Mgr that sent me the card.  The old prefixes don't matter, when the QTH is clearly identfied, to the best of my knowledge.

UI8ABA from 1988 says he is in Tashkent, UZbek SSR. Uzbekistan is now shown as UJ-UM. Can I count this for Uzbekistan?

Also UM8MW from 1988 is in Kirghiz, Frunze. Does this count as Kyrgyzstan, which is now EX?

I’ve done what research I could and not resolved these to 100% satisfaction. There are some others that may be kicked back but I was able to find enough to believe they are where I think they are.

Thanks, 73,
Dennis, W5RZ
