Bill K5FUV just reminded me in his post about Don, 7Q6M, running simplex that next weekend is the BIG BAD CQ World Wide DX Contest - Phone. If you're not a CW person, exit out of your FT8 program and find a microphone to plug in to your rig. There will be tons of DX on phone and given how good the high bands are the activity should be intense.

Here's an incentive for you - most all of the contest stations will upload their entire log to LoTW just after the contest. No worries of having to pay $10 QSL card!

The contest begins at our local time 7:00 PM Friday evening and runs through 6:59 PM Sunday evening. We are in CQ Zone 4 so your contest exchange is "59 4". The station you work will give their CQ zone.
