Hi Gang,

Well there is a funny story to go along with this (among others).  I swore I wasn’t going to email Yuris who was VU4W as the OQRS card info and when the LOTW uploading will begin is on the VU4W website.  However I couldn’t stand it.  So last Sunday night. I sent an email asking (more like begging) for LOTW confirmation, Yuris says the most of the cards are in the mail!  Even some have made it to Japan.  The LOTW process will begin after all the cards are gone.  I think there is also another expedition to get caught up on.  Like most folks, Yuris has more than he can handle and many projects in the works.

So the very next day I see a QSL card in the mailbox from Yuris, but it says WQ5T on it.  I was excited for Kathy, but like in a pileups she normally gets through first!  I share my station with her, but I am passionate about it where she just enjoys the novelty of it.  Where I do a happy dance/fist pump when I get a new one, she will go something like>>>he got me while putting a mild smile on her face.  Plus she loves the social part of ham radio and anything I can help her with feel more as one of the gang helps. 

She will tell you since the beginning of June, she knew I was watching the mailbox.  Something I don’t normally do.  Yesterday was no exception, as we were going to a doctor’s appointment, she checked the box and from across the street gave me a frown as my card took the scenic route!  Today I open the box and saw the envelope on top! 

My online DXCC paper work is done complete.  Now a trip to Mr. Rory to have the card checked.  Kathy says she will wait on LOTW confirmation.  However, I am not waiting!  I am sure once my card clears and is verified by the ARRL DXCC Kathy’s LOTW confirmation will beat me out again!
