Lanny - your station performs exceptionally well, plus you're a good op!

EJ:
I recall your presentation: Ham Radio on a Budget and you included an amp as being necessary. I've been barefoot for almost 63 years! I left Vermont in 1992 with 313 Mixed. I want to make 5BDXCC before I croak and, thanks to FT8, I may make it! This setup is the best I could afford and have a nice home within the Searcy city limits. We found this neighborhood whose covenants allowed an antenna structure in the back yard when visiting family in November 2017. We jumped on this property three years ago: sight unseen on Zillow!
I've never had an installation anything like yours or Joel's, but I've always concentrated on antennas. I had a Hornet TB-600 tri-bander in high school. Unfortunately, I bought in an HOA in Cary, NC and from 1999 to 2019 my antennas were in a third floor walkup attic!
BTW, I met Joel in the mid-80's when he had an assignment at Vermont Yankee: our only nuclear power plant. He came to our house for a ham club meeting/cookout.
Thanks for the comment.

That's with an Alpha Delta DX-CC fan dipole with shortened legs on 80M and 50 watts. My back yard is only 75x35; the antenna is an inverted V hung at 33' on my tower and favoring EU and AU. I have TX5N on 17, 15 and 12 with the hex beam, too, and the SP that was there earlier on SSB.
Good night!
