The 1st Quarter Meeting of the Arkansas DX Association will be held March 12, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Western Sizzlin' in Russellville, AR.

DXCC, WAS and VUCC card checking will be available and there will be a short program that will be announced in the next week or two.

As previously announced, the November, 2021, meeting kicked started our in person meetings once again and for 2022 we would begin our quarterly meetings. As has been our practice over the past few years to meet in Russellville for the 1st Quarter Meeting in March, this location was selected to get back in that routine. It also provides the closest "center" for our members to travel to that has adequate meeting facilities. The 2nd Quarter Meeting on June 18 is planned for the Little Rock area with the location of the 3rd Quarter Meeting on September 17 and the Annual Meeting on December 3 to be determined.

As I have noted many times, selecting a meeting location is not an exact science and always presents minor conflicts and complaints from a select few however the objective is, and has always been, to be as fair as possible to our members who are spread out all over the state with the large majority being located in central Arkansas and northwest Arkansas.

Our 1st Quarter Newsletter will be distributed shortly. It includes a very nice article by Rick, AI5P, on Malyj Vysotskij Island from his "From the QSL Shoebox" series.
