Problem with last couple of nice DX chasing on 40m SSB is the interference of 20-30dB over 9 of the USA nets going on. One DXped op recently went to CW stating that too much interference near the 7150 SSB listening frequency. I talked to him briefly on SSB on another band and he said too few QSOs due to NA not hearing him on his 40 SSB calling frequency and him hearing too many other QSOs going on due to strong NA yaking on nightly skeds.

So, it is best for me with a rotatable dipole to wait til NA goes to sleep and then the DX rare one hopefully will come back at 0500Z when I am sleeping… 😊   The TU5 operator is VERY good, working about 5-6 a minute at times. Hey, you gotta listen and face DXing issues on 80 and 40m during our NA early evening hours on SSB…  IIWII….  Years ago we had narrow windows where DX and DXpeditions knew where to transmit and nets did not bother us.  Like 3750 listening for the DX and us on 3795-3800 and occasionally up to 3805.
