The granddaddy of all 160 meter DX contests, the CQWW 160 CW is this weekend. Actually starting tomorrow at 4:00 PM local (2200z). Rules and all can be found at:
The band will be hopping so get in there. You can work other USA stations although the point value is not a big as working DX. Your exchange will be 599 AR. Here's your chance to pick up a new one on 160 and add to that band total or your DXCC Challenge count.
I enjoy this contest and in addition to operating from here (which I will this weekend) I have had the privilege to operate with the K0DI/N2CEI team at Steve's north Florida QTH and with the W2GD team at their amazing Barnegat Bay location right on the ocean in southern New Jersey where John's very large TX array sits out in the salt marsh. Quite an experience and they are a really great bunch to operate with over a weekend.
GL in contest or the hunt for a few new ones on 160 this weekend.
