We had an outstanding meeting on November 13 in Russellville. I was extremely pleased with the turnout. We had 30 ADXA members and guests present. Everyone seemed very anxious to get back to normal, or to the extent possible.

Roger, N5QS, and EJ, K5EJ, presented drone video and photos of EJ's monster antenna project last summer. Very informative and interesting.

For business items, ADXA will send $500 in support of the 3Y0J Bouvet dxpendition planned for late 2022. This is a very reputable group and the donation amount is in line with our first donation to the previous attempt by K4UEE and team (which was returned after the landing failed). We also decided to consider an additional $500 contingency donation based on how the plans develop in to next year.

We also discussed the upcoming FT5W Crozet dxpedtion. Consideration of funding for this one-man operation is pending based on how plans develop.

Officers for 2022 were elected, or I should say "re-elected". The same slate will serve for another year. Thank you for your confidence in our leadership.

This weekend is the biggest and baddest CW contest in the world, the CQWW CW contest. It begins at 0000 UTC Saturday, that's 6:00 PM local time Friday night. There will be a TON....maybe two tons, of DX on and some of the bands you may believe to be dead will magically come to life. Several ADXA members will be in the action. W5ZN will be running a multi-single effort with guest ops NN1N, AG9A and may another straggler or two. If you make some Q's in the contest please submit your log and indicate "ADXA" as your club. Make sure it is the Arkansas DX Association as I believe there may be another "ADXA" on this list. You won't receive any special recognition individually for doing so however it will promote ADXA on the world stage! All of the details (rules, etc) can be reviewed at https://www.cqww.com/

I want to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very happy Thanksgiving. The world outlook may seem bleak however we all do have things we are thankful for, especially the fact that under some trying conditions (more than just propagation) so just remember "DX IS" and you know what to do....."GET IN THERE AND WORK 'EM"

73 to all,

Joel W5ZN
