Understand. I need those band/modes ... but also worked Conway in past years. I missed that comment about no update .... that will cause a lot more QRM during the trip ... but that's their choice I guess. I too follow the Joel guidance, LOL. But they'd do better with FT4 with how strong they are on 40m, LOL. And what a list of callers scrolling off the screen, LOL Good luck George.

His web page says No NOTHING till he gets back to Fiji. No biggie as I have him back in 2019 on 6 or 7 bands confirmed. Was just curious to see if I missed something. Apparently not as another DXer or two said they saw no RR73 for my contact. I still logged him as Joel said WFWL. That policy has worked many times in the past on all modes. Maybe they just felt sorry for me and logged a "possible" contact.

I read some early comments that they "weren't" sending RR73 though you will see them sending it a few times. But the long delay in start of transmit --- on new sequences when working lots of stations at once --- makes it look like they have too little computing power. That delay is likely causing some sequences to not decode on this end. Also, they may be hitting "log now" to clear backlog of callers ... but who knows.
That first log dump will tell a lot because I had strong replies on both 20m and 30m, but ... We will see.
I think they needed more RAM, LOL.
