Hi Joel,
Thank you for the very kind note. That means a lot to me!
IMHO, Bernie is really the one we should be thanking. He has been good to the ADXA over the years and the world of DXing. He is a wonderful ambassador to our hobby! He makes everyone around him look better. After one of his forums, it makes you want to go find a nice pileup to bust! 🙂
One of the things I tend to reflect on in my DX pursuit, is at the bottom of the solar cycle, with poor conditions. Making an ATNO during a 10 minutes window and then they are gone, never to be heard from again. Several of mine ATNO DX popped up for only a day or two with a very small propagation window. Having your BIC (Butt in Chair) like Bernie suggested is great advice for newbies. Those DX contacts I remember the most!
I will have a complete report later today. I think there was right at 40 attendees. What was wonderful about our group, they were engaged and asked a lot of good questions. I can't thank everyone enough for attending and participating!
Very nice to see everyone yesterday! 73 de w5jay/jay..

Subject: [ADXA] Thanks for Great Meeting
Jay,
Many thanks for a great meeting yesterday and for lining up Bernie, and to Bernie for a very informative presentation. Even for an old dog DX’er it is good to be reminded of the current status of some of the most needed.
During the presentation when Bernie would mention the last time the entity was activated, I remembered that DXpedition and even some of the specifics of working them on a specific band. Brought back a lot of “dog fight” pile ups!
Thanks again Jay!!!
73 Joel W5ZN
