[ADXA] ADXA President

Hi Everyone,
I was going to wait until the next ADXA Newsletter to put this out to our group, but time is very short and I didn't want to surprise anyone.  I want to get this out to the ADXA reflector for people to consider before the next ADXA business meeting.  My announcement is I will not be running for a second term as your ADXA president.  It has been a HUGE honor to serve as your ADXA president!  I told Joel there are a lot of things I could have done better and I really believe that.  This year has been very interesting for me!  I have learned a lot and made some new friends along the way!  BTW, I didn't set out to be your ADXA president, just sort of evolved over the years and serving on the ADXA board.  I can't thank everyone enough for their kindness!  Thank you to the ADXA board for being great to work with!

I could not have served as ADXA president without the help of Joel W5ZN!  Thank you, Joel!  He told me at the beginning "Failure is NOT an option".  I considered myself as a president in training, hi.  We are very lucky to have Joel within the ranks of the ADXA!

To be honest, the main work load is the ADXA conference!  Joel has agreed to do that and he has been working hard on this year's conference for months now.  That is where all the heavy lifting is, IMHO.  All one has to do being ADXA president, to work with the ADXA board on things like Dxpedition funding, work with Quarterly Meeting Program Director: John Evans WB5BHS to develop programs for the club.  A big thank you goes to John for making that task very easy on me!  With two of the meetings being on Zoom, opens up some interesting possibilities that normal don't happen with in person meetings.  Lastly, write up something for the ADXA Newsletter once a quarter.  Glenn N5RN does such a nice job with our newsletter.  Thanks Glenn!

If you are interested in serving as ADXA President, please let the ADXA board know.  All the officers and their callsigns are on the main ADXA webpage.  Trust me, it will change your life for the better.  You get to rub elbows with some of the greats within our hobby of Dxing and Contesting!  Not to mention, make some great life friends along the way.
