That is a really neat story Steve. I have to agree with Rick and You that there are QSO's that are burned into memory and mean so much. I really didn't know anything about WAZ at all until this email, and it did prompt me to take a look a lotw to check my stats.
Thanks for the post.

Thanks Rick. I was in SEMDXA with Ted. He developed a logging program
right before DXBase came out. When it did, he knew everyone was going
to pick it up. He immediately devised a program to transfer Qs out of
his program to DXB. I guess I never entered any of Zone 2 Qs in either
program. I happened on this one by chance. I was searching for Zone 2
and checked his call. He wasn't in Zone 2 but I sent him an email to see
if he ever had been. Bingo. I'd rather be lucky than good.
I stayed in touch with Ted until the end. I called him about once a
month. He was a great guy. As was Ken, W8LU, Gary Rutledge, KR8V and
Larry, K8NLD. All silent keys now. Ken, in fact, was the CFO for
American Motors. Larry and Ken used to go down to C6 with me for the 10
meter contest. They were absolute stars on CW.

Steve

When I went technical, I only entered one card for each country as suggested by Ted, K8NA, SK. There was no way I could do my entire log. I had just gotten off the straight key and had my microphone back and guess I was trying out phone
