Hi ADXA gals and guys,
You may have noticed a note a few days back from our treasurer, Glenn Wolf N5RN, about paying a donation to ClubLog. The ADXA likes to support/donate to groups that make being a DXer fun for our members and supporting that effort. Clublog doesn't require the user to pay any fees, but that doesn't mean it is free to set up and maintain. They have many volunteers and the server space cost money and is one of the reasons we donated to them.

While I mentioned some of ClubLogs features in the last ADXA Quarterly, I want to list just a few of them again in case you want to join us. My hope is for all ADXA members to please upload their logs to Clublog.

First feature Clublog is free! All you need to do is register with them. Then upload an ADIF log to them and you are good to go! Here is the link for that: https://clublog.org/signup.php

You may have seen the live streaming, that is full of features in itself, but it is so nice to be able to see your call when you work them. I don't know how many times I have made a contact with a DX station, when DQRM pops up during the confirmation of my report. You don't even have to log in or register with ClubLog to get on the live streams, just click here:
https://clublog.org/livestreams.php
We are so lucky right now, as you can see so many of the current DXExpeditions using livestream! Go check them out in the above link.

I did learn something new from my Kathy WQ5T, which is using the above live stream a bunch these days. You can click on the band button (Green LED) you are interested in, then you will only see that band's contacts! Even an old dog can learn new tricks from his wife and I do!

Now I am sure if you have been chasing DX for a while, you have come across OQRS. OQRS stands for Online QSL Request System. While not the only OQRS game in town, ClubLog has to be one of the largest out there. If you have a log uploaded to Clublog and you match the DXexpedition's log, you can do an Online QSL Request. If you didn't upload a log, you will have to provide the correct date and time to request OQRS. OQRS feature will cost you money, but that doesn't go to ClubLog, it goes to the DXExpedition. Most Expeditions will do an LOTW upload and mail you QSL card once you provide a small donation. Compared to the old days of QSLing, it sure saves a bunch of time and money doing OQRS. I always hated doing the QSL cards, OQRS IMHO is so much easier to do.

ClubLog has a bunch of log tracking, statistics, and can keep up with your totals as well. You can do searches on new entities needed to move up the DXCC ladder. All this will also interact with other logging programs like DXLabs and LOTW just to name a few. They all work together and can be synced together.

You can also add to your QRZ page the last 50 or so worked with Clublog. Examples on how to do all this is well documented on the ClubLog web site help info. Get stuck and there is a ClubLog help person to guide you.

One of the last things I love to do is see what our club ranking is! Plus, I can see what the ADXA group is doing with each Expedition they are working. From the Big Dog's right down the Puppy Dog folks. It is a ton of fun to see where you are in the ADXA pack, LOL.

Above are just a few things that can be done with ClubLog and the above are only a few things it can do for you! Go check them out and find new things I am not doing currently with it, then teach that to me!

Have fun and go work some of these hard ones that are on the air currently! Thank you all and 73 de w5jay/jay..
