These DX pills I've been taking are working terriffic! It is allowing me more quality hours on the radio. The unfortunate side effect is that they are also making me feel a whole bunch better from this sickness which causes me to need to pick up limbs and kill weeds in the yard, which takes away from quality time on the radio.
CY0S was a nice ft8 catch on 160, but I could not hear them good enough to work them on CW. I was seeing several good signals out of Europe. I think I need to shift the pennant more to the north.
TX5EU was easy to catch on 20 CW, TX5EU on 15 ft8 was pretty hard. at the time I was calling, and also hard due to a loose nut on the radio It was late in the evening here and the band was dead except for TX5EU. I could see him working asia and oceonia on two streams soI started calling randomly. I knew it would be blind luck to hit a vacant spot. After I moved 3 times, I finally got a reply, but as he replied, I had decided to switch antennas, so I quickly had to switch back to the antenna he had heard me on. The only problem was that once I switched back, he couldn't hear me on the original antenna. After calling me 3 times, I looked over and Jethrine had decided to take a nap and was offline. I quickly woke her up and finished the QSO. We then had a big arguement about why she was offline. She, of course blamed it on me, which IMHO was not true. It did all work out in the end.
I am back on the DX pills. The yard work is calling, but the grandkids 3 and 5 are coming tomorrow for a week and I am planning on working them like a rented mule thus leaving me more quality radio time.
Good DXing my friends
