Thank y’all! I looked at my application history and was at 1842 in 2008. Trajectory picked up with the advent of FT8 and then slowed down over the last couple hundred. I’m sure some of y’all can do it quicker than that.

EJ, K5EJ, has provided updated DXCC Standings information. With the new band multipliers that EJ secured during the 3Y0K DXpedition he has passed the Desoto DXCC Challenge 3000 threshold. EJ’s Desoto Challenge total is now 3002! Congratulations EJ on reaching your 3K goal. EJ joins Rick, K5UR, as a holder of #1 Honor Roll and Desoto DXCC Challenge 3K. That is a very small club!

Looking over EJ’s totals on the Standings page, he has 359 all time on Phone and 339 current on Phone. He has worked 20 entities that have since been deleted. Based on that, it would appear the EJ worked a lot of DX on Phone a long time ago.

I’ve been reading snippets from “DX IS” a compilation of the best of the West Coast DX Bulletin. Here’s a poem probably written by Hugh Cassidy, WA6AUD, in 1978

                DX is the embodiment

        Of everything that’s excellent

It has no kind of fault or flaw

DXers always draw the looks of awe

You’re pretty awesome EJ!
