Having been laid up with whatever wicked sickness has been dealt to me, I decided to make an attempt to work a few stations this morning inspite of feeling generally terrible. My wife said the "man flu" must be worse than having a baby.

I had left the rig and amp on 40 meters the previous evening, so I remoted from the recliner to the shed, and found the band to be decently open. I noticed Phill was on. I know everyone has worked Phill, C21TS. One call and Nauru was in the log.

I had a few other stations call which was a nice surprise. I decided to give "Jethrine" a workout because I did not want her getting soft after the Battle of Bouvet.

She did not disappoint and ran cool with her electric car heat sink at a blistering 3 pints of output. The DX did its part and after working a few stations, I ALMOST worked north Korea. Actually it was South Korea, but it was only 250km south of North Korea. All the normal stations were work VK's, JA's, Indonesia, with a few US stations in the mix.

I finally quit and Mike texted me that T80K was just down the band a bit, so I jumped down and worked him for a challenge point.

I can't imagine what it would be like to have a yagi on 40, It must be a blast.

In other news, it is rumored that "Karen", and "Jethrine" are getting a new BIG sister which should arrive in oh..lets say about 9 months. As you all know by now all my projects take a long time to get completed. I just hope I have all my fingers and toes by the time she arrives.

That is your DX news for the day from the recliner of ZJ. Please excuse the NyQuil hangover.
