OK, although I read items posted, I rarely post anything to the group.

But.... I will give my input.  The Honor Roll needs to be just that. The description of the Honor Roll per the DXCC is:

Honor Roll: Attaining the DXCC Honor Roll represents the pinnacle of DX achievement:

Let's keep it that way.  Look at the list of the current Honor Roll and #1 members. It is a long list so it is an achievable goal. Now with the (Dark Mode) it is becoming even more so to get entities that were only dreamed of before.

Do not water down the requirements.

I understand there are many of us who will never reach 331 because of our age but that is not a good reason to lower the bar.

Here she comes again! 😂 No really… while I think 300 is too low, maybe somewhere higher?

The reason I say this, hear me out. I have researched the countries/islands. Some are exactly that an IOTA/POTA, uninhabitable and dangerous such as Bouvet.
Another reason, some of these I have looked up have not been activated in 10 years, or longer! May never. Some are prohibited from transmitting or worse getting a license. I can name these, but you already know.

I get some were licensed at a young age. I get you had to send qsl cards and wait forever to get it for confirmation. I’ve also looked up “back in the day” of lots of things in ham radio.

To be honest, I’m not going to be a ham for 50 years and some others won’t either. I didn’t have to have code as many of you did and I respect that! Times have definitely changed as ARRL wants more members. Why not set something achievable? There is more $$ to ARRL for awards if lowered. I wonder if this is the reason it is being talked about? Then also maybe an automatic award for 330 and above to retain the hard work and years??

My whole point is this, there are some DX we will never ever get the chance to nab. Whether government regulations, no one to do the expedition or the biggee… funds!

Just my thoughts. Love to all of you. Everyone is an inspiration for me to continue getting rare DX. Thanks for reading… and no I haven’t an idea of a number however I agree 300 is too low.

This is only for the group. I haven’t sent anything for Steve as of yet. Please do not be mad at me for my opinion. It is only that and low on the totem pole. Also, I have to keep good spirits for an upcoming knee surgery!
