A personal note of thanks to our ADXA group!
We had 30 attendees show up for the quarterly meeting. I noticed that there were several over at Aleta doing W1AW/5 at the BVRC club station. Someone there brought a laptop with them, so they could watch the ADXA meeting and do W1AW/5 at the same time.
We are so mobile these days, we had a couple of guys going down the road watching and checking in at the same time. In the month of June, there are a lot of folks on the road, busy with family functions, etc. A few of our members were out of the country! Thanks, everyone, for the effort!
Hal W8HC did an outstanding job speaking about the 9U1RU expedition. We cannot thank Hal enough for making an extra effort as well! He was also on the road when asked if he would be interested to speak and he didn't hesitate to say yes!
Also, thanks to Jan WB5JAN and Tom W5XNA for taking the time to invite folks out to BVRC Field Day. I think those two had a lot to do with this year's Governors' Proclamation. Again, thank you guys for putting the spotlight on ham radio and inviting anyone that didn't have a Field Day site to attend BVRC's. Noticed, they said they will feed you! Many ADXA members will be there. I know they are working very hard to make it the best FD event ever.
Thanks to Joel W5ZN for providing the Zoom application and his continuing guidance! Thanks to Kathy WQ5T and Glenn N5RN for taking the time to take notes during the business meeting. Another big shout out to Glenn for providing the newsletter and minutes/treasurer report.
Thanks to John Evans for letting me bounce off ideas for guest speakers. There is a lot that goes on behind the scenes and many people that I need to thank that I didn't mention. I try not to forget anyone!
Lastly, thanks to K5UR, for sending a personal note to Hal that he couldn't make the meeting! That was very cool and yes Hal did pass on your message to our group. Thanks, Rick, for all the fun! We always love seeing you, but we understand when you are on the road!
I hope to see everyone next time! Please stay tuned to the ADXA web site for Upcoming Events.
See you in the pileups! 73 de w5jay/jay..
