[ADXA] DXCC on 6-Meters

Randy HI,
Hang in there and never give up! When my M2 7element broke a couple years ago, I thought I was done on 6m. I was just around 50-60 confirmations on 6m. Around the same time, I just got on the Leaderboard, but my main focus was DXCC on 6m at the time. This last June, when the band was hopping, I was sitting here wishing I had the M2 back up. Then I wondered if my 80m and 40m fan dipole will load up on 6m. Now I understand there is a ton of loss and I don't run things at full power, but guess what I am at 97 confirmed, well 96 officially. Plus gained a few new grids along the way. I miss most of the good openings! Still moving up and if I "NEVER" get that M2 back up, I should be able to finish off 6m DXCC. Not sure I can ever get to FFMA, but still pushing there as well. We will see how that goes for sure, LOL.

It is not as fast without a good antenna, but all we need is propagation. This year at least there has been a ton of good prop on 6m.

It is all about the journey and the Magic Band for sure!

Congratulations on DXCC on 6! That is quite an achievement. I’m in the chase, but don’t know if I will be able to get there or not, without a change in equipment.

Enjoy the moment and have a great day!

Thanks everyone...I also worked LZ1ZP just in case...In looking at it a minute ago, I had forgot about HB0WR who verified with me via email a couple of weeks ago and he uploads to LoTW at the end of each month so it's a race to see who verifies first to get me over the hump...Some amazing openings the last couple of months to EU and JA...I told Joel yesterday that I was pointed to JA Sunday night and was decoding 60-70 JA's per cycle as well as 10-15 from EU off the side of my beam...As the EU's faded I started to pick up ZL1RS's huge signal and some VK's...Now it's back to the FFMA chase to the rest of the day...Currently at 445 there and would like to get to 450 before this season ends...

Congrats Dennis. I'm at 130. This has been a great summer for new ones. If you can print them. I've managed to catch only two new ones. SV, TK, 9K, etc. don't like EM55bd.
