I believe aurora was playing into the scattering last night but was not the
prop mode, obviously. George noted possibly some RF into KP5's audio but I
noticed the same thing on quite a few other signals, but that could have
been in play at KP5. Stns just north of us and up in the NE were reporting
difficulty with aurora scattering on the sigs.
KP5 is way too far south for a contact via AU but, then again, things are
very strange these days!!!!!

What kind of propagation was that? For aurora, 3 element beaming north faded
way down. Signal seemed higher on conventional heading but looked like it
was very scattered...

That was a phenomenal opening on 6 meters last night, one I haven't seen in
several years to the Caribbean and to occur when there are two DXpeditions
active, KP5 and PJ7, is an added bonus especially KP5. The FT8 segment was
solid from 50310 to 50316 or maybe higher, I didn't check. The CW and SSB
portion from 50090 up to 50200 was packed as well. I believe every ADXA
person that was on picked up, as a minimum, a new grid. I believe Roger QS
picked up 6 new DXCC on the band.
I even saw ZF9CW on later in the evening.
I trust everyone is prepared, or finalizing preparation, for the incoming
winter storm. Current forecast looks like all snow for all of us except
maybe Glenn RN and Earl ZM who may be right on the snow/ice borderline.
