[ADXA] CE0X San Ambrosia POSTPONED

Bernie with The Daily DX forwarded a news release that the CE0X DXpedition scheduled to start in a few days has been postponed due to not being able to obtain landing and operating permission.

 

ADXA did NOT provide any funding for this one-man operation for that very reason and I’m not surprised it has been postponed. I kept watching this one and there was a lot of press about it from the XQ7IR and a few other sources but landing and operating permission had never been granted. There was also some internal chatter from within Chile that he would, in fact, never be granted permission.

 

One of the things that irritates me about some DXpeditions these days is a big announcement is made, a website established, and funding solicited BEFORE permission is granted to operate. The cart is obviously leading the horse around!

 

XQ7IR states he has “postponed” his planned operation until September however I personally have doubts he will be granted permission then. But, as always, I’m entitled to my opinion, even if its wrong and I hope it is for this one !!!  😊
