Mike,

Looks very interesting.  There seems to be a strong influx of new apps these days.  I think folks who are experience coders and, have  learned to use coding assistance tools on platforms like Anthropic’s Claude, are able to crank out some cool apps without years of work.   My shack PC is a six year old Dell XPS8930….i7-8700 with 32GB DRAM and a decent Nvidia graphic card.  I typically have three “slices” open on my Flex 8600…HF (10-20M), 6M FT8, and 6M Analog.  I usually have the HF slice on FT8 with the passband wide enough to “see” the CW end of the band.  With two instances of FT8, DXLabs DXKeeper, Spot Collector, DX Maps, etc. I find that my i7 is very busy….especially if I have 3 Stage decoding running on the 6M WSJT-x instance.  When 6M is wide open, decoding doesn’t finish for up to two seconds after the end of the sequence.  That’s with the HF WSJT-x instance set to Normal decode.  I thinking adding a application like NEXUS would probably lead to a melt down!  I’m probably going to submit a request to the CFO for a new i9 of some flavor.

 

Would be interested to hear if anyone loads NEXUS and gets an idea how resource intensive it is.
