[ADXA] Email Reflector

ADXA Folks,

 

I believe it is time to migrate over to a groups.io email server. We are simply experiencing too many issues with the mailman system. As email providers ramp up security to combat SPAM and phishing email, older email reflector systems just don’t react well to the new protocol our email providers have implemented.

 

It is a weekly event, sometimes twice weekly, that the system kicks out a group of folks and we have to go in and manually clear the rejection. There is no reason we can identify why this occurs. It is not the same folks that get removed, but various different groups at different times. We are now experiencing some who are unable to post to the reflector, as the system simply will not accept an email from a legitimate address that is correctly entered into the system.

 

As we have explained before, we can establish a free groups.io account that will accommodate up to 100 subscribers, well within our group number, but we will not be able to include attachments in the email. That is available for paid subscriber groups and the cost is outside of what ADXA could afford at this time.

 

So, does anyone object to establishing a groups.io ADXA account? We would do so but in the interim retain the old mailman server and see how things go. This would mean you would, for a temporary time, receive two copies of each posting. One from the old mailman system and one from the new groups.io system. Of course, if you’re one of the folks continually experiencing issues with the old system you may only receive one!!!! 😊
