The power went out here which was a good opportunity for testing my Plan B with a generator.  I had all 8 computers and rigs running on the generator in about five minutes while UPS kept them going. Decided to see what the noise was like on 160 with the whole island probably down.  

Tuned across someone calling CQ and sending up.  It was 9L8MD on 1828.07.  I went up one and with 100 watts had a good QSO after about ten calls. That isn’t a good direction from here but pleased I was able to work him with shunt fed tower for both TX and RX.
