The Russellville area was in the "gap" between several almost supercells
last night.
According to my weather station, I experienced a gust of >20mph at 12:40
and again at 16:30. But, I'm sorta protected from high winds by Norristown
(Skyline) mountain to the West and South. That leaves me open to the rogue
weather situations from the North and East. Overall not even a lot of
thunder or lightning either.
Watching the railroad cameras at the depot, which are really out in the
open, I could see a tremendous amount of lighting to the West and Northwest
of downtown. That's pretty much what my own security cameras saw, just
through the trees. Overall about 0.02" of rain early on in the evening.
Looks like from the Mississippi River on to the East, things are going to
be unsettled to say the least for the next couple of days.
