W5RZ and WA5BDU should watch the video and see what they can copy. They are the ADXA CW speed demons!!! :-))

I misspelled his name as I spelled it like I heard it pronounced but it is spelled Ianis, (not Yanni) my error !!!!
It was something to see. I jokingly told Rick I copied one letter, “R”, but it was a full callsign at that speed that sounded like R !!! :-)
I did not know they uploaded the video to YouTube so Tnx for passing that on so everyone can watch it before I will have a chance to upload the one I recorded.
Quite amazing to watch in real time !!

Joel - It truly is amazing. I watched the YouTube video of it This is one of those things that would seem not humanly possible. Heck, K5UR can almost sound like a blur to me when he calls in at about 1/4 that speed.
I just searched 3830 and he has never entered a contest either as single operator or in a multi operator operation for which the score was reported on 3830. ZF5T chooses YO8YNS as first round draft pick in hopes that he could accurately pick out one callsign after the other in a pile-up at 50 WPM. I’m on it!

ADXA Folks,
K5UR and I were just amazed with watching, in-person, 13-year old Yanni, YO8YNS, break the Guinness World speed record for copying CW.
The speed was 1016 characters per minute that equates to 232 character groups per minute (words per minute). The Morse text is generated by RufzXP and is callsign.
I have a video that I will share later as it is too large to attach. I have attached a photo of Yanni after acquiring the record.
