I am so very sorry to hear about Don. He was always a nice person to chat
with and I enjoyed visiting with him.

It is with deep regret that we report one of our dear Bella Vista Radio Club
members' passing, Don Cooper - KC7DC.

 

Don was a resident of Bella Vista, moving here from Seattle in 2018 where he
was a systems analyst for Costco.  He joined BVRC after becoming a NW
Arkansas resident.  Shortly after joining the club, Don assumed the position
of BVRC VE Coordinator, and has done a stellar job in that capacity since
that time.  Don also coordinated the exam sessions for BVRC Technician and
General license classes, along with administering special exam sessions at
Field Day.  Don loved working DX and was a member of the Arkansas DX
Association.  He was nearing 250 entity confirmations.  Even though he was
more on the quiet side, he and I had some excellent eyeball QSOs in our
trips from NWA to Russellville and back to attend ADXA meetings.  He really
enjoyed ADXA get togethers.  Don will be sorely missed and his service to
BVRC will be long remembered.  Don passed away in the early morning hours,
this morning.  Please remember his XYL, Kim, and their family in your
thoughts and prayers.
