As some of you know up here in NWA and BVRC, there is a joke going around that includes me as being Darth Vader (thanks Don K5DB!).  Bringing many folks over to the Darkside (aka FT8)!

Today, I got to reading the above article and couldn't help to wonder what was going through Rick K5UR's mind.  I am so easily entertained by such things.  Like does it do CW or maybe where is the mic jack, etc?  At least they did fix Rick up with a knob interface.    I did zoom in to be sure they were NOT on FT8, LOL.  They were indeed in SSB.  Looks like they were having a great time and got some new gear for W1AW.

BTW, I have been there and it was great to see all the radio displays and I am sure most if not all that has been changed with new gear.  Hopefully they kept the spark transmitter, that is fun to see!
