[ADXA] ADXAthon - The Rest of the Story

Greetings ADXA Folks,

 

I believe in giving credit where it is due, and the ADXAthon was the
brainchild of Dennis, W5DM. On New Year's Day 2024 Dennis decided to see if
he could achieve DXCC in one day. So, around other New Year's eve and day
activities Dennis took some time to be on the air, working stations and
achieved his goal. He called me one day and thought it would be a good
operating event for ADXA on New Year's Day 2025, and it most certainly was.
Even some who chose not to turn in their results reported it was the
catalyst for them getting on the air and working some DX that day that they
would not have otherwise.

 

Will we do this again for 2026? That is yet to be decided because sometimes
sequels flop, even amateur radio operating events. The one thing proven in
the 2025 event, though, is it was a hit.
