Let’s see, I’ve upgraded firmware 2x on the kenwood 990, 3 times on the flex 6600, amplifiers still have latest firmware, firmware once each on the rotor and antenna genius, several software updates on logging software, dozens of iPhone firmware upgrades, Chevrolet pickup firmware updated last Friday (it has sat a month for me to recover from muscle tendon reattachment in shoulder) AND my computer demands me to allow it to upgrade to Windows 11.   Now my Drake 4c twins are still factory, great radios their heyday is past but still fun.
But all pre release software needs watched!

It’s a good thing you weren’t using the want-x improved, Extra Special Gold Plated version :). Any of the versions can do some weird stuff all by themselves without an operator fault.
