I have an original F12 C3E that I would like to sell, reasonably, to a
member or friend of a member who needs a good tri-bander. The C3E has
two elements on 20 and 15 and three elements on 10. The C3 lacks the
extra element for 10 meters.  I used this antenna to work most of the
349 entities I have confirmed, 336 on CW.  The antenna elements are
assembled with rivets vs. nuts and bolts like the current JK F12
antennas.  I actually like the rivets much better.  Holes are
pre-drilled, you can't go wrong.  The only thing the antenna needs is
new U clamps to hold the elements on to the boom.  Tom, for some reason,
did not put stainless U clamps on his antennas claiming they weren't
needed.  Not until you had to take them off.  Mine were naturally rusted
and I used a bolt cutter to remove them after trying other methods which
didn't come close.  The antenna is in perfect condition.  It has an 18'
boom and is a light antenna.

This is a great first antenna for someone who wants to get away from
wires and can put up a tower or the appropriate mast.  My location was
in the direct path of Hurricane Elvis with 115 mph straight-line winds
for about 15-20 minutes.  I watched the elements bend almost parallel to
the boom and then snap back into place when the winds ceased.

The ONLY reason I replaced it was to get a JK-XR5 to obtain some gain on
12/17.  Antenna is completely disassembled and will fit easily in the
bed of a PU.

I will also include the F12 high-power balun with the antenna.

If you're interested or know anyone who is, email or call, 901-849-7449.

I also have an original HyGain TH-5 that I will give away.  It was a
great antenna but its big and heavy.  Had it up in MI. First
tri-bander.  Lots of fun to assemble.  Not.  My antenna was NOT made by
MFJ.

Also, one or two now discontinued Cushcraft D3Ws, 12/17/30, rotatable
dipoles.  I worked my last one, Bouvet, on one of these antennas.

Thanks for reading.  I hope everyone is having fun with VP2VI.  I
actually worked them on 160 CW on my 80 meter dipole.

73,

Steve, N4JQQ
