[ADXA] Another Addiction

Strangely enough, I needed VP2V on 15, 40, 80, and 160. I got them on 15
and 40 FT8 and later in the evening, 160 and 80 CW. Signals were loud on
80 and 160 and they were relatively easy to work. The receive antenna is
packed away, but it didn’t matter for this one. I’ll jump into the pileup
on CW on the higher bands as I hear them.
ARRL didn’t accept my LA5CI/P card from Jan Mayen (1965). I have mixed
credit but no details on the DXCC records. This would be a band counter
and a new one for CW. This call was used on Jan Mayen in 1965, so a call
to the DXCC desk should clear it up.
Otherwise, life is good. I mowed for about 20 minutes, and suffered no ill
effects. I should be able to finish up this afternoon. I agree with Joel
about the mental aspects of yard work. Also, Stan, I’ve got a few
motorcycle stories even though I’ve never owned one. My most memorable
“wind therapy” sessions were as a civilian in a Huey with the doors open.
Charles probably has memories of that, too.

Dennis
