The DXAC will hold a meeting this coming Sunday.

The Chair wants to discuss "DXAC 2025" or "DXCC 2025".  I have seen it
both ways.  This was brought up after DXCC 2000.  It is not being driven
by HQ that I know of.  That is all I can speak about on this subject.

In the past there have been all kinds of discussions regarding deleting
countries.  BS7 comes up a lot.  Also, countries that are impossible to
gain access to.  Primarily US entities where the Fish and Wildlife
Service doesn't want anyone on the island.  This has been mitigated by
the RIB concept which is better than nothing.

Also, inaccessible entities due to political considerations?  I can
recall when everyone said we would never work China, North Korea,
Albania, but we did.

Concerns about safety.  An example one member provided was Bouvet.
Personally, if someone wants to spend a million dollars and visit
Bouvet, I have no problem with that.  If safety were an issue there are
about 50 countries we could put on the list.

Guidelines for deletion of existing entities.

Deletion of guidelines due to inactivity.

Rig in box operation.  My personal comment.  RIB operation is about the
only way we are going to see ops from these entities where the wildlife
people don't want humans on the ground disturbing the flora and fauna.

Another thought:  Johnston Island.  USAF says no visitors.  But there
have been ops in the past and could be again if an employee showed up
with an amateur license.

Honor Roll threshold changes

Additions to Honor Roll program.

Digital DXCC.

These are not my ideas necessarily.  But if you have strong feeling
about any of these, please let me know in a short, logical email.  I
won't share you name, call with the DXAC.

I'm only one vote but I have been very conservative about preserving the
DXCC program in its current form.

Kind regards,

Steve, DXAC, Delta
