Guys,
Here are my observations from last weekend:
Conditions were absolutely bonkers. Unlike Joel, I didn’t notice a
significant drop off in signal strength to JA on Sunday afternoon. In fact
I was amazed at the number of JA & other Asian stations on Sunday. Usually
they drop off on Sunday, as they have to go to work.
What are the odds that both K1LZ & KC1XX would have the exact same number
of QSOs in the MM category (12,434) in their raw scores?
What a horse race between ZF5T & V47T. Down to the wire.
The only mishap at the station during the contest was my lower beam getting
hung-up & stuck in a tree. At least it got stuck SE, which was my
preferred direction. I have some serious negotiations ahead with my XYL on
tree removal.
The BIC philosophy that has been discussed previously on the reflector
seems to get harder & harder. I have spent a lot of time on chairs, back
support, & station ergonomics in the past, but it is still a work in
progress.
My main goal for 2025 will be to improve antennas on 80/160, as they are
terrible.
Great to see all the participants from ADXA…
73, Chuck. KM5G
