I was going to say that is very good advice no matter the mode.

But we all know some will continue to blind call if they can.

WHAT???????

You mean you actually MUST copy the DX station BEFORE you call them??

Now there’s a novel concept!

I'm in probably too many groups on various platforms. Until we all get accustomed to SF/SH operation, this is just a reminder. I know I'm probably preaching to the choir, but here goes anyway.

Almost daily, I see this question asked over and over. "Why can't I type in a DXPedititon's call sign in the DX Call box when I'm in SFox?"

It's very simple, because you have not copied them. And until you do and double-click on their call sign, it won't populate. There is no reason for you to be calling the DXP if you don't hear him.

So far it has really cuts down on the number of incomplete contacts by the DXP's. Since many of them may be in "quiet zones" where they hear stations that can't hear them. So this type of clutter (QRM) has been eliminated. Simple as that.
