Hello Andrew, ZF1EJ,

This is Bobby Graves – KB5HAV, Net Manager for the Hurricane Watch Net.

Earlier this year, I sent you an email alerting you that we may be activating for Hurricane Beryl…the first hurricane of this season. Now, Rafael is looking to visit your islands as well, this time as a Category 1 Hurricane.

We will be activating tomorrow afternoon, Tuesday, November 5, 2024, on the following frequencies and times.

  *   20 meters: 14.325 MHz (USB) at 2:00 PM EST (1900 UTC) until at least 12:00 AM EST (0500 UTC).
  *   40 meters: 7.268 MHz (LSB) 7:00 PM EST (0000 UTC) until at least 12:00 AM EST (0500 UTC).

Other Nets that will be in operation are as follows:

  *   WX4NHC will be On-The-Air on the Hurricane Watch Net frequency 14.325 MHz most of the time and 7.268 MHz depending on propagation.

If you are available, we would love to hear from you as well as any surface reports you can provide. Anything you can provide is helpful. We are also able to assist local Emergency Management, EOCs, storm shelters, and more with any Emergency Traffic or outgoing Health and Welfare Traffic.

If you can help me spread the word on the islands that we will be active tomorrow I would be extremely grateful!
