[ADXA] ARKAN?

Alas, ARKAN is more or less non-existent these days, Lanny.

However, we have continued to run a Special Event Station on Arkansas statehood every 5 years since you worked us during this activation, which incidentally was the first time we did that.  We're planning on running with either K5A or W5A for 4-5 days around the statehood date, June 15, in 2026 for the 190th statehood anniversary.  The best we've done with these activations was in 2016 when we did a very casual 3-day activation for the 180th anniversary when we worked 262 CW Qs and 1374 Phone Qs for a total of 1636 Qs (all 50 states, 11 Canadian provinces, 23 DX).  Cycle 25 should still be in pretty good shape in a couple of years so we're hoping for much, much better results.  The event is now sponsored by Bella Vista Radio Club.

And, as we have done every 5 years for the activations - which will be music to the ears of a multitude of ADXA members - no FT8, hi hi!

Worked from Cary, NC where I lived 1999-2019.  Is this Fayetteville club defunct?  www.arkan.us<http://www.arkan.us> no longer exists.
