[ADXA] Chicken Little

THE SKY IS FALLING !!!!!!

 

A few years ago, the talking heads were predicting this solar cycle would be
a "Maunder Minimum" like we experienced from 1645 to 1715. OK, "we" weren't
exactly hanging around then and didn't experience it, but it is well
documented. You will recall the prediction suggested we should sell our
radio equipment and take up golf or other hobbies that waste oxygen. Several
drank the Kool-Aid, bought into the hype, and gloom and doom prevailed.

 

Several ADXA folks decided to simply wait and see, knowing very well in
today's society predictions are based mostly of what people "think" and not
what they believe based on factual data. Our patience paid off as we have
had some amazing propagation on the HF bands and several of you have a new
one(s) in the log. Now that we have experienced the first part of Solar
Cycle 25 what do folks who really know propagation believe will occur going
forward? 

 

I can't address that question directly but Carl, K9LA, can and he will be

The sky isn't falling, I'm not Chicken Little, I don't drink Kool-Aid, and I
don't play golf so I'm anxious to hear what we can expect in the world of DX
in the next few years because I still love to "GET IN THERE & WORK 'EM !!".
